I'm Amy, founder of Seren Education.

Seren Education was founded on the belief that every learner can thrive when their individual strengths are recognised, their needs understood and their potential nurtured.

With over 15 years of experience in education, I bring extensive classroom, leadership and examination experience to my work with learners and educational settings. As a qualified secondary English teacher, I have taught English Language and Literature from KS3 through to GCSE and A Level, supporting learners with a wide range of abilities, needs and aspirations.

A calm and personalised approach sits at the heart of Seren Education. Time is taken to understand each learner — their strengths, challenges, confidence and goals — before tailoring teaching to provide the right level of support and challenge. For learners who have struggled with English, literacy or confidence, creating a positive and non-judgemental learning experience is particularly important.

As a current examiner, I also offer valuable insight into assessment and examination expectations. This allows for focused, purposeful teaching that develops subject knowledge, critical thinking, literacy and exam skills, while helping learners understand how to make meaningful progress.

The aim extends beyond grades. Building confidence, developing independence and fostering a positive relationship with learning are equally important. High expectations are balanced with encouragement, ensuring learners are challenged while feeling secure and supported.

Alongside specialist tutoring and literacy support, Seren Education now offers consultancy and educational services to mainstream schools, alternative provision and specialist settings. This includes English CPD, academic support, literacy and curriculum development and specialist guidance for educational leaders.
